DMCM - There are Plenty of things to do in Salford
In order to satisfy the next objectives we aim to produce a target market report specifying our target audiences. To get to this stage a viability analysis will be conducted to ascertain which segments are most appropriate to the offering. Comparisons will be made and the subsequent choices stated.
It is an exciting time for Salford Quays and this next project will really highlight the up and coming events and attractions in Salford not to mention the relocation of the BBC and the development of MediaCityUK.

Speculative Digital Pitch
Strategic Direction
The Quays’ strategic direction is to become an area magnet for domestic and international tourists and a world-class business, cultural, social and residential area of great national and regional significance.
· Business objective: Increase annual footfall to The Quays by 15% within 12 months
· Marketing objective: Increase awareness of The Quays by 50% in our target markets within 12 months
· MarComms objective: Acquire 10,000 new online enquiries and convert them into subscribers within 6 months
PSO
In order to satisfy their objectives The Quays plan to hold a series of monthly cultural events and attractions in Salford that will incorporate a variety of themes including Food, Film, Fashion and Music. These free events will be used to promote the area to tourists and local residents and to provide a platform for local businesses, musicians, designers and budding filmmakers to showcase their skills. Due to the relocation of the BBC and the development of MediaCityUK these events are really in touch with the target audience’s interests.

So what stands out at the Salford Quays?!?!
So I've only just recently been hearing "this n that" about the Salford Quays after living in the Manchester/Salford area for over two years now. Honestly, initial thoughts... "I'm pretty sure if it was that great I would have known about it by now!" and "It's in Salford! Why would I want to go all the way down there!", as though Salford is another country. Anyway considering you can get the Eccles Metrolink line to the Salford Quays from practically anywhere in the Manchester city centre, the least i thought was it was worth a little check.
So getting to the point of what stands out... Upon exiting the Metrolink i was amazed and surprised! I was amazed at how tidy and refreshing the place was, it seemed as though I had left the country! Now I was surprised that I had only just discovered the place because it is genuinely an aesthetically pleasing nice place! After roaming around for a while I realised that the Salford Quays actually has a lot to offer. There is a museum for intrigued minds, a theatre for cultured souls, water sports for the adventurous and many restaurants and food outlets for those who straight out just want to sit and eat!

Keys to The Quays
I've lived here for 2 years now, and I haven't even thought to check this place out. When my alternatives for things to do involve something along the lines of, wasting about at home, moaning that there's nothing to do, I've done it all...
Well basically, I haven't done it all. So I might just go watch a show at Salford Quays and prove just how cultured I really am :)
