Grim times as a student

I know for a fact my parents think uni has been a breeze, and that it could all be done in a year or two and not over 3 years, and although I agree to some extent, daaaayuuum final year is rough. In my first and second year, I had loads of time to find things to do to occupy my time, my attendance was shocking, yet I still passed. Final year I'm realising there really isn't much time to find things to do to occupy my spare time, I'm grateful for spare time just to chill out with a peppermint tea (I'm a badman!)
Since I went to the Quays for a look around, I haven't had a chance to see what's been going on there. I have however been reading up on the exciting developments involving the relocation of the BBC to MediaCityUK, which's ball- if all goes to plan- begins to roll this year! This is going to be huge and as a graduating student in advertising, the prospect of hundreds of new jobs in the media is a real help to inspire me to crack on with this dissertation and so on (ergh!). But fingers crossed we all will get the grades we want, and who knows, you could statues of us around MediaCityUK in years to come. Joseph's column has a nice ring to it?

Peace out y'aaaall

Things to do in Salford in the new year!

Now that the festive period is behind us it is time to focus on 2011 and the variety of events and attractions in Salford that can be enjoyed by all throughout the year.

Why not take advantage of the many offers that are available at Lowry Outlet Mall, visit one of the special exhibitions or displays that are currently on at the Imperial War Museum North or spend an enjoyable evening at the The Lowry arts venue.

There are plenty of things to do in Salford in the coming months and with the relocation of the BBC and the development of MediaCityUK getting underway this year Salford is set to become one of the social hubs of the North and promises to offer a variety of events and attractions catering to the people of Salford
